MDLMS Ready to Invade HRP Saturday August 14
The opportunity Late Model fans in the Hutchinson area have been waiting for is nearly at hand.
On Saturday August 14 the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series rolls into the Hutchinson Raceway Park for their first ever appearance, the first time in 3 years Late Models have been at the raceway, and the only time in 2010 fans in the area will have a chance to catch the wedge bodied gladiators in action.

Smith Takes King of the Hill WinA clean sweep was in store for fans at the Minneapolis Raceway as Delbert "The Iceman" Smith prevailed in not only the first ever King of the Hill event for the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series, but also the 30 lap Main Event.
Smith finished 4th in his heat race, giving him the second opportunity to pick a redraw position. He drew #2 to start outside of Cale Gottschalk, who drew #1. On lap 1 Smith rocketed off the front row to take a quick lead on the opening lap. Cale Gottschalk and Dave Conkwright made contact on lap 1 with Conkwright going to the back as the result of a caution. King of the Hill Special at Minneapolis This Saturday!![]() For the first time in Minneapolis Raceway and Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series history a king shall be crowned in the Late Model division. The special event will take place Saturday night August 7 featuring head to head competition of the Late Models, something that has never been done before. The King of the Hill competition is a head to head bracket style event, similar to bracket competitions in drag racing. The fastest lap time each driver turns in their heat race will be used to position them in the brackets, with the fastest qualifier against the slowest qualifier in round 1. Last Updated (Friday, 30 July 2010 16:24) Fulton Picks Up Hometown Win at Thunderbird![]() After a seven year hiatus Late Model racing finally returned to the Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma on July 10 with a hometown hero picking up the big win on the historic half mile. Greg Skaggs jumped out to an early lead at the start of the 25 lap feature event followed by Missouri's Don Cloyd. Justin Fulton also moved into the third spot and quickly worked around Cloyd. A quick series of yellows at the start shuffled the running order, allowing Alternative Pest Management Cash Dash winner Bryan Sugg to close in as well.
